1. High bioenergy efficiency
The light absorbed by plant photosynthesis is not all the components of sunlight. It mainly uses two light qualities, one is red-orange light at 610-720 nm, and the absorbed light energy accounts for about 55% of its physiological radiation; The other is blue-violet light with a wavelength of 400-510, which absorbs about 8% of its physiological radiation. In addition to these two light qualities, traditional lighting equipment also contains a large amount of light qualities that are useless for plant growth, which greatly reduces biological energy efficiency. Moreover, the radiation spectrum of traditional lighting equipment often has an unbalanced demand for plants. For example, fluorescent lamps contain a large amount of blue light, which is unfavorable for the establishment of the light form of plants. LED grow lights can adjust the ratio of light quality according to the needs of different plants, and can eliminate unnecessary light quality to improve bioenergy efficiency. Moreover, plants can be induced by adjusting the composition of light quality and photoperiod, so as to construct a good photomorphology and improve crop yield.
2. Improve the cultivation density and use a wide range
The LED grow light is a cold light source, which can provide lighting very close to the plant without burning the plant or affecting the growth of the plant due to temperature. This determines that the plant light can be applied to different cultivation methods.
3. Energy saving
LED plant lights have a significant effect on energy saving. According to statistics, in 2011, the total area of tissue culture in the country was more than 2000m2. If the tissue culture lighting reaches 16 hours a day, and the working days are calculated as 300 days per year, the annual power consumption of fluorescent lamps is 107.5 billion kW h, while LED plant lamps only have 51.8 billion kW h. Compared with high-pressure sodium lamps and fluorescent lamps, LED plant lamps can save energy by 50%-80%, which greatly reduces production costs.
